Why an online store makes sense for Vietnam
Vietnam is a market of about 96 million people where online stores are growing fast, with Hanoi as its capital.
Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in Asia, driven by young urban shoppers. Cash on delivery remains common, but QR and wallet payments are rising quickly.
Shoppers and trade buyers in Vietnam already compare options on their phones; an online store that loads fast, shows accurate stock and accepts cash on delivery turns that research into orders.
Localised for Vietnam, not translated into it
A store that works in Vietnam respects local habits as well as local law. These are the details we configure first.
Currency and pricing
Everything a Vietnam shopper sees — price, tax, delivery fee, refund — is in VND, written the local way.
Language and content
We localise pages, emails and notifications into Vietnamese where your audience needs it.
Local trust signals
We add the payment logos, courier names and policy pages shoppers in Vietnam recognise: cash on delivery and MoMo and delivery through Vietnam Post (VNPost).
Domain, phone and contact
Using .vn where it suits you signals a local business to shoppers and search engines. Click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons use the +84 calling code so customers reach you without dialling errors.
Custom-built for how you sell in Vietnam
If you run a business in Vietnam and want to sell online, we build an e-commerce platform and mobile application to your exact requirements, from the first product page to the last delivery update.
Typical clients include D2C start-ups, speciality shops, manufacturers selling direct and grocery and food businesses. Categories that sell especially well online in Vietnam — fashion, beauty, electronics and mother and baby — get catalogue structures and filters designed for them.
Before any commitment you get a free requirements meeting, a demo built on your use case and a proposal priced to your budget.
Core modules we build for Vietnam clients
Each module below is configured — or custom-developed — to your requirements. You choose what launches first and what follows in later phases.
Branded storefront
A fast, mobile-first design on your own domain with your colours, typography, banners, landing pages and SEO-ready category structure. Couriers such as Vietnam Post (VNPost), Giao Hàng Nhanh (GHN) and Giao Hàng Tiết Kiệm (GHTK) plug in alongside your own fleet for Vietnam orders.
Catalogue manager
Categories, brands, variants, bundles, specifications, images, videos and bulk import/export so your team can manage thousands of SKUs. Stock can be held in Vietnam or anywhere in Vietnam, with pickup and local-delivery options where they make sense.
Checkout and payments
Guest and account checkout, local payment gateways, wallets, bank transfer, cash on delivery, coupons and abandoned-cart recovery. Revenue reports by product, repeat buyer and delivery area of Vietnam guide stock and marketing decisions.
Orders and fulfilment
Order confirmation, packing slips, courier booking, tracking links, cancellations, returns, refunds and customer notifications. Content and design can follow how customers in Vietnam search and buy, including Vietnamese where you need it.
Inventory and locations
Stock by warehouse or store, low-stock alerts, store pickup, local delivery zones and sync with your existing inventory system. Bulk import and sync tools mean the Vietnam team never re-keys stock, prices or descriptions by hand.
Growth and reporting
Promotions, loyalty, reviews, email and WhatsApp campaigns, plus dashboards for revenue, products, customers and conversion. Payment steps are built around cash on delivery, MoMo and ZaloPay, the options shoppers here already trust.
Getting paid online in Vietnam
Checkout is where most online sales are won or lost. In Vietnam, customers expect to pay with cash on delivery, MoMo and ZaloPay, and many also look for VNPay QR, bank transfer (Napas 247) and Visa and Mastercard.
We integrate suitable gateways and providers for your business category and merchant eligibility, handle payment status, failed-payment retries and refunds, and keep sensitive card data with the provider rather than on your servers. All amounts are shown in Vietnamese đồng (VND).

Shipping, couriers and local delivery in Vietnam
Your online store can book shipments and share tracking with Vietnam Post (VNPost), Giao Hàng Nhanh (GHN), Giao Hàng Tiết Kiệm (GHTK), Viettel Post, J&T Express and Ninja Van, or route orders to your own riders and stores.
We set up shipping zones, cut-off times, free-shipping thresholds, cash-collection rules and returns so the promise on the product page matches what your team can deliver.
Rules Vietnam sellers must respect online
On tax: Vietnam VAT is 10% standard, temporarily reduced to 8% for many goods, and e-commerce platforms withhold tax for household sellers from July 2025.
Customer data is handled with Decree 13/2023 on Personal Data Protection and the Personal Data Protection Law taking effect in 2026 in mind, and the storefront follows the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights 2023 and Decree 85/2021 on e-commerce, which requires website notification to the MOIT.
Our job is the engineering: price display with tax, invoice numbering, cookie and marketing consent, return and terms pages, role-based access and logs. Legal and tax conclusions stay with your own adviser.
Vietnam sellers: marketplace plus your own store
Shopee, TikTok Shop and Lazada are where many shoppers in Vietnam start, which is why sellers list there. The trade-off is commission, limited branding and rules the platform can change overnight.
With your own online store you keep the customer data, set the offers and the packaging, and still push stock to marketplaces from a single admin.
Businesses that use NNT Mart in Vietnam
Popular online categories in Vietnam include fashion, beauty, electronics, mother and baby, groceries and home. In Vietnam, we most often build online stores for:
Retail brands
We map how retail brands sell today and digitise it end to end — from enquiry and order to payment, dispatch and repeat purchase.
D2C start-ups
For D2C start-ups, we usually start with checkout and payments, then add courier and shipping aggregators once orders are flowing.
Speciality shops
Catalogue, pricing and fulfilment rules designed for speciality shops in Vietnam, connected to the systems you already use.
Manufacturers selling direct
Manufacturers selling direct get orders and fulfilment plus growth and reporting workflows tailored to their operations.
Grocery and food businesses
We map how grocery and food businesses sell today and digitise it end to end — from enquiry and order to payment, dispatch and repeat purchase.
Multi-outlet retailers
For multi-outlet retailers, we usually start with branded storefront, then add WhatsApp Business API once orders are flowing.
Android and iOS apps for your Vietnam business
A customer shopping app for Android and iOS can share the same catalogue, cart, offers and order history, with push notifications for drops, price alerts and delivery updates.
Apps are published under your own developer accounts and share the same backend as your online store, so offers, stock and orders are always consistent between web and mobile.
Order alerts, offers and abandoned-cart reminders go out on Vietnam time (UTC+7), in Vietnamese if you want.
- CRM and email marketing
- Payment gateways and wallets
- Meta and TikTok catalogues
- Google Analytics 4 and Merchant Center
- WhatsApp Business API
- Courier and shipping aggregators
- ERP and inventory software
- Accounting and GST/VAT invoicing
Integrations above are examples; we connect any system that offers a suitable API, database access or approved import and export process.
How we phase your online store
We launch the journeys that create value first, then add depth. A typical roadmap for an online store in Vietnam:
| Phase | What goes live |
|---|---|
| Launch store | Storefront, catalogue, checkout, payments, shipping and admin go live. Configured for VND, cash on delivery and Vietnam Post (VNPost) from the start. |
| Grow | Promotions, loyalty, reviews, marketing integrations and SEO content. |
| Scale | Mobile app, marketplace feeds, multi-warehouse and ERP sync. Reviewed against how Vietnam customers actually buy. |
We track conversion rate, average order value, cart abandonment, repeat-purchase rate, page speed (Core Web Vitals) and return rate on a live dashboard from day one, so Vietnam results are visible, not promised.
Time zones, language and support
Our team covers UTC+7 — 1h 30m ahead of India (IST) — through three 8-hour shifts, so a Vietnam client always reaches someone during the local working day.
Project communication is in English; storefront content can be produced in Vietnamese. You get a named lead, direct engineer access and an NDA if you ask.
Our head office is in Chhapi, Gujarat, with an office in Hyderabad and representation in Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia and Zambia; clients in Vietnam are served remotely with on-site workshops when the project needs them.
